| The Baroness Barbara Altamura is investigating the shady dealings between her husband’s bank and the mafia. She has a series of secret liaisons with the carabinieri captain Carlo Arcuti, her one time lover, in order to pass on the information and gradually the smoldering passions of their love affair flare up again. Barbara tries to escape from her husband but she is found out and suddenly finds herself trapped in a tangled web of murder, politics, dark conflicts and ruthless struggles for power within the mafia organization. In the end, with Carlo’s help, she manages to break free but before she can start a new life with him, tragedy strikes and he falls victim to the lethal serpent’s nest of intrigues and danger, which he had uncovered. go to top |
